Psychotherapy
Who I Work With
Throughout my training I’ve worked with patients across the clinical spectrum, from Mood and Anxiety Disorders to Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I now specialize in treating anxiety disorders (e.g., Generalized Anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety) and depression.
I am experienced with ERP and exposure therapies and have expertise in mindfulness-based interventions, where I have taught mindfulness for 10+ years and authored several peer-reviewed journal articles on mindfulness and mind-body health. Many of my patients are also struggling with the downstream effects of anxiety and depression such as poor sleep, relationship struggles, and engaging in healthy lifestyle behaviors (e.g., exercise, diet, reducing substance use). I integrative Motivational Interviewing into my work to support behavior change aligned with your personal goals and values.
Sessions can be in-person or virtual.
Philosophy and approach
I see my role as a therapist as someone to hold space for your personal growth to unfold, at your own pace and aligned with your own purpose. Underneath all the fancy jargon and “techniques” (e.g., CBT, ACT, MI, etc.), the most powerful and transformative element I can offer is a patient and compassionate “bearing witness” to your personal evolution. In my experience, that is the key to sustainable change. You embark on the journey. My role is to support you in the process.
